The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike has stated that the construction of housing projects for judges will enhance impartiality in the administration of justice. Speaking during a media parley in Abuja, Barr. Wike emphasized that improving the welfare of judges would help reduce external influences on the judiciary, ensuring fairer rulings.
Addressing the issue of illegal shanties, Barr. Wike confirmed that structures obstructing the Abuja master plan would be demolished. He assured that his administration is committed to tackling security threats that could compromise the welfare of residents.
On transportation, the FCT Minister revealed that measures are being implemented to ensure safe and secure transit for residents, with a particular focus on combating criminal syndicates known as “one chance” that have been terrorizing the city.
Furthermore, Barr. Wike highlighted the efforts of his administration, in collaboration with President Bola Tinubu, to improve infrastructure in rural areas of the FCT. He emphasized that these initiatives aim to curb rural-urban migration and promote balanced development across the territory.
