Edo Will Deliver 2.5 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027 – Governor Okpebholo

Date:

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has declared that the people of Edo will deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election as a mark of appreciation for the development recorded across Nigeria under the current administration.

Governor Okpebholo made the statement at Okaijesan Town Hall in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area, during a political event held to welcome thousands of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He described the mass defection as a clear indication that the PDP has lost ground in Esan Central, noting that the APC remains open to all progress-minded citizens. “The development of our state requires the collective input of everyone,” the governor said. “We are glad to welcome new members who are ready to contribute to the growth and advancement of Edo.”

He further emphasized that Edo State will show gratitude to President Tinubu in 2027 with a resounding electoral victory, highlighting the positive impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda on the state.

Also speaking at the event was Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe (rtd.), a key APC leader in Edo Central Senatorial District, who praised the growing strength of the party in the region.

The event was covered by ADBN TV correspondent Akpomejero Friday, who reported that the political atmosphere in the state is shifting in favour of the APC, with increasing support from grassroots communities.
