DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS DENIES REPORTS OF FRENCH MILITARY BASE IN NIGERIA

The Defence Headquarters has categorically dismissed reports alleging the presence of a French military base in Maiduguri, describing them as false and misleading.

In a statement, Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, urged the public to disregard these baseless claims, labeling them as mischievous speculations aimed at misleading citizens.

The military reiterated its unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and warned against the spread of unverified information. Citizens were encouraged to rely solely on credible sources for accurate and trustworthy updates.
