CAF ANNOUNCES NEW DATES FOR 2025 AFRICAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP

Date:

President of Confederation of African Football, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, has announced that the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will take place from 1st to 28th February 2025.

This update was shared during a news conference in Nairobi, Kenya, on Monday.

The tournament, which was initially set for September 2023, had been postponed due to a crowded football calendar and issues related to stadium certification.

The new dates come after a period of uncertainty while East African host nations of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, awaited confirmation.

Dr. Motsepe expressed optimism about the upcoming tournament, emphasizing the commitment of the three host countries to provide world-class facilities.
