ANAMBRA AND ONDO STATES CLAIM 100 METRES TITLES AT NATIONAL YOUTH GAMES

Team Anambra and Team Ondo won the girls’ and boys’ hundred meters races, respectively, at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

Rosemary Nwankwo of Anambra State secured the championship in the girls’ hundred-meter race, finishing with a commanding lead in a time of twelve point two four seconds.

Grace Idehen of Delta State came in second, while Ayomide Abass of Oyo State took third place.

In the boys’ final, Olumide Ibikunle of Ondo State delivered an impressive performance, clinching gold with a time of eleven point two zero seconds. Muyideen Adeniji of Ogun State and Jacob Olumor of Delta State followed in second and third place, respectively.

As of the latest update, Delta State leads the medals table with 20 gold, 8 silver, and 13 bronze medals, ahead of Edo, Oyo, Lagos, and Bayelsa states.
