Grammy-winning Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy has announced plans to headline London’s iconic London Stadium for a third time in 2027, setting his sights on another historic milestone.
The singer made the announcement in a post on X, expressing excitement about returning to the venue and teasing more major announcements.
The announcement follows an earlier Instagram post showcasing a specially crafted 60-carat natural VVS diamond necklace commemorating his previous sold-out performances at the stadium.
Burna Boy remains the only African artiste to have headlined and sold out the 80,000-capacity London Stadium, home of Premier League club West Ham United. He first achieved the feat in June 2023 during his Love, Damini tour and repeated it in June 2024 with his I Told Them tour.
A third headline concert in 2027 would further extend his record and reinforce his position as one of Africa’s biggest global music stars.
The announcement comes shortly after Burna Boy’s appearance at the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show, adding to his growing list of international achievements.
Since breaking into the mainstream with Like to Party, Burna Boy has built a global reputation through albums including L.I.F.E, African Giant, Twice As Tall, Love, Damini, I Told Them and No Sign of Weakness. He has earned 13 Grammy nominations and won a Grammy Award for Twice As Tall.
