Victor Boniface, Ademola Lookman, and Moses Simon will spearhead the Super Eagles’ attack as they face Libya in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 qualifiers, stepping up in the absence of injured striker Victor Osimhen.
Lookman and Boniface were key starters in Nigeria’s last two matches against Benin Republic in Uyo and Rwanda in Kigali. Moses Simon, who previously came off the bench in those games, replaces Samuel Chukwueze in the starting lineup.
In goal, Stanley Nwabali retains his position, while Ola Aina, William Troost-Ekong, Bruno Onyemaechi, and Calvin Bassey anchor the defense.
Coach Austin Eguavoen has selected Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and Alex Iwobi to marshal the midfield for the Super Eagles as they aim for victory in this crucial qualifier.
The Super Eagles, three-time African champions, are set to take on Libya with determination as they look to secure their place in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
