Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard sustained an ankle injury during Norway’s Nations League victory against Austria, where Erling Haaland secured a late winner on Monday night. Odegaard was forced off the pitch after a second-half foul, casting doubt on his availability for Arsenal’s upcoming north London derby.
With Declan Rice already suspended, Odegaard’s injury raises concerns for Arsenal. Team doctor Ola Sand confirmed the midfielder has a minor ankle sprain and will undergo an MRI on Tuesday to assess the severity.
After the derby, Arsenal faces Atalanta in the Champions League on 19th September, followed by a crucial match against Manchester City on 22nd September.
