ARMY CHIEF PLEDGES INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP TO TACKLE SECURITY CHALLENGES

Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, has pledged to lead the Nigerian Army with innovation and inclusivity to address the country’s security challenges.

In a statement issued by the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, General Oluyede called on army commanders to develop creative strategies to combat terrorism and insurgency, assuring troops of his full support in enhancing their morale and operational effectiveness.

Oluyede also paid tribute to his predecessor, the late Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, and expressed pride in the army’s unity and dedication throughout the leadership transition.

The statement also highlighted a significant moment in the transition: the retirement of the old army flag, marking the beginning of a new leadership phase for the Nigerian Army.
