The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has flagged off the construction of two service carriageways of the Southern Parkway from Arterial Road S20 to Ring Road II, off Oladipo Diya Way in Gaduwa District, Abuja, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at the ceremony, Yilwatda described the project as a reflection of the Tinubu administration’s commitment to delivering modern infrastructure and improving the quality of life of Nigerians under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He said the project forms part of ongoing efforts to expand critical infrastructure, improve connectivity and support economic development within the Federal Capital Territory.
The APC National Chairman commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his leadership and commitment to the transformation of Abuja through strategic infrastructure projects.
According to him, the expansion of key road networks across the nation’s capital will enhance mobility, ease transportation challenges and stimulate economic activities.
Yilwatda noted that improved road infrastructure remains essential to sustainable urban development and national growth.
He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s determination to continue investing in infrastructure as a catalyst for economic prosperity and improved living standards for citizens.
The APC chairman expressed confidence that the project would contribute significantly to the ongoing development of the Federal Capital Territory and further strengthen Abuja’s position as a modern and efficient capital city.
