Akwa Ibom State Assembly Clears 20 Out of 27 Commissioner, Special Adviser Nominees

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has approved 20 out of the 27 commissioner and special adviser nominees sent by Governor Umo Eno for screening. The approval followed a thorough assessment of the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and suitability for their respective roles.

The cleared nominees include:

  • Dr. Offiong Offor

  • Dr. Nsikak Linus Nkan
  • Princess Emem Ibanga
  • Mr. Anthony Luke
  • Rt. Hon. Iniobong Robson
  • Prof. Eno James
  • Dr. Emmanuel John Ekem
  • Mrs. Inibehe Silas Etukudo
  • Dr. Frank Ekpenyong
  • Dr. Ekanem Ekerete

Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, who presided over the plenary session, urged the cleared nominees to leverage their wealth of experience in interpreting and implementing Governor Eno’s ARISE Agenda. He emphasized the importance of their roles in driving the state’s development and delivering good governance to the people of Akwa Ibom.

The screening process reflects the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that only qualified and competent individuals are appointed to key positions in the state government.
