The FCT Police Command has dismissed a viral publication claiming that it confirmed reports of young people selling their kidneys for money in the Nyanya area of Abuja.
The publication also alleged that an agent operating in Mararaba was purchasing human kidneys.
In a statement, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the Command has neither received nor confirmed any report of such activities.
The Police also clarified that no statement or communication confirming the allegations had been issued by the Command.
Residents have been urged to disregard the publication and avoid circulating unverified information capable of creating fear and panic.

The Command, however, encouraged anyone with credible information concerning suspected human organ trafficking or other security concerns within the FCT to report to the nearest police station or contact the Command through its official emergency lines.
