World Leaders Condemn Assassination Attempt on Former US President Trump as Threat to Democracy

World Leaders have reacted to the attack on Former US President, Mr. Donald Trump in an assassination attempt at an election rally.

Presidents and Prime Ministers globally spoke out against political violence. They expressed their support for those affected by the shooting, which killed one bystander and left two other spectators critically wounded.

President Tinubu also extended condolences to the deceased’s family and those injured, wishing them a swift recovery, and reassuring Nigeria’s solidarity with the United States of America during this challenging period.

Meanwhile, the oversight committee – the main investigative board of the United States House of Representatives, has called on the Secret Service Director, Kimberly Cheatle, to appear for a hearing.

This follows the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump at a political rally in Pennsylvania.
