WORKERS APPLAUD AKWA IBOM GOVERNOR FOR WELFARE INITIATIVES

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) has commended Governor Umo Eno for his commitment to improving civil servants’ welfare, particularly in the aviation sector.

During the Aviation Village groundbreaking ceremony, NUATE State Chairman, Comrade Ukeme Utuk, highlighted recent welfare milestones, including the ₦80,000 minimum wage and a forthcoming 13th-month salary.

Governor Umo Eno reaffirmed these commitments, emphasizing that his administration remains focused on fostering development and improving workers’ conditions.

The 15-hectare Aviation Village will feature staff quarters, a model aviation learning center, executive suites, and modern amenities, aligning with the state’s vision for sustainable growth and enhanced living standards.
