President Bola Tinubu has ordered security agencies to intensify operations in Southern Kaduna following an attack that reportedly killed about 30 people, including women and children, in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area.
The attack occurred on Monday night, with several houses reportedly set ablaze and an unspecified number of residents abducted.
President Tinubu described the killings as an unprovoked act of terror against defenceless citizens and directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force and relevant intelligence agencies to track down those responsible, rescue the abducted residents and restore normalcy to affected communities.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the country’s security infrastructure, improving support for security personnel and dismantling criminal networks threatening communities across Nigeria.
The President also urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful intelligence that could support early response and ongoing operations.

Tinubu extended his condolences to the families of the victims, Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government and the people of the state, assuring them that those responsible for the attack would be brought to justice.
The President also said the ongoing restructuring of Nigeria’s security operations and institutions would strengthen the fight against terrorism, banditry and kidnapping.
Speaking separately during a meeting with the leadership of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu said his administration is improving intelligence gathering, security logistics and the welfare of frontline personnel as part of efforts to tackle insecurity nationwide.
He also disclosed that he had approved an expansion of the Armed Forces and the acquisition of additional equipment to strengthen the country’s security response.
