Port Harcourt, Rivers State – Suspended Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, made his first public appearance on Sunday since his suspension by the Federal Government, attending a special prayer, worship, and thanksgiving service at Salvation Ministries Headquarters in Port Harcourt.

The Governor, accompanied by top politicians, stakeholders, elders, and leaders of the state, expressed gratitude to God for His love, mercy, and unwavering support during the ongoing political challenges in Rivers State.

Dignitaries in Attendance

Among those who accompanied Governor Fubara were Chief of Staff Dr. Edison Ehie, former Senate President Pro-Tempore and President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Senator John Azuta Mbata, former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, Chief Orits Onyiri, Chief Mike Elechi, and Chief David Briggs, among others.

A Service of Faith and Gratitude

The church service, led by the Presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, was a testament to Governor Fubara’s deep faith and belief in God as the ultimate dispenser of justice. The service featured soul-lifting songs, scriptural exhortations, and prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Rivers State.

Pastor Ibiyeomie’s sermon, titled “Living A Blessed Life,” was drawn from Genesis 1:28. He emphasized the importance of gratitude and faith in overcoming life’s challenges.

A special prayer session was held for Governor Fubara shortly after the service, with attendees seeking divine intervention and guidance for the suspended leader and the state.
