The City of Lagos will host the Super Falcons for two highly anticipated international friendlies against Algeria on the 26th and 29th of October 2024.
In a notable change of strategy, the Nigeria Football Federation has decided to include foreign-based players in the squad, reversing their initial plan to rely solely on locally-based talent.
This decision comes as the team prepares for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
These friendlies will serve as crucial preparation for the Super Falcons following their disappointing exit from the group stage at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Interim coach Justin Madugu is expected to announce the squad on 19th October, with the training camp set to begin on 21st October in Lagos.
