During a ceremony in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule emphasized the need for value addition in governance as he swore in newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, a State Auditor-General, and officials from various state agencies. He urged the officials to promote transparency, particularly as the state prepares for upcoming local government elections, and tasked the Boundary Commission with addressing ongoing boundary disputes.
The appointments follow recent retirements in the state’s civil service and aim to enhance productivity and public sector efficiency. The newly sworn-in officials include five Permanent Secretaries, two members of the State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), and the new Director-General of the Nasarawa State Bureau of Public Procurement.
Governor Sule also inaugurated the new Commissioner of the Nasarawa State Boundary Commission, along with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager of the Greater Karu Development Control.
Dr. Ibrahim Alhassan, speaking on behalf of the appointees, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the trust placed in them with their new responsibilities.
