Super Eagles Coach Éric Chelle Unveils 23-Man Squad for World Cup Qualifiers

Super Eagles Head Coach Éric Chelle has announced his final 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. The list features a blend of experienced stars and emerging talents as the team prepares for crucial fixtures in Group C.

Key players such as captain William Ekong, in-form forward Victor Osimhen, and dynamic winger Ademola Lookman headline the squad. The roster also includes defenders Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi-Samuel, midfielders Raphael Onyedika and Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi, as well as forwards Samuel Chukwueze and Sadiq Umar.

Nigeria will first take on Group C leaders Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, March 21, before returning home to face Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday, March 25. These matches are pivotal as the Super Eagles aim to secure their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
