SOUTH AFRICA TO HOST BASKETBALL AFRICA LEAGUE PLAYOFFS AND FINALS IN 2025

Date:

South Africa has been selected to host the Basketball Africa League playoffs and final in June 2025, taking over from Kigali, Rwanda, which has traditionally served as the venue for the finals.

The Moroccan city of Rabat has also been added as a new host city, while Cairo in Egypt has been removed from the list of Nile Conference venues.

The 2025 BAL season will kick off in Rabat in April before moving to Dakar, Senegal, in May. The third conference round will be held in Kigali later that month.

The playoffs and finals are set to take place in Pretoria, South Africa, from 6th to 14th June.

Rivers Hoopers, who finished third in this year’s competition, will represent Nigeria in the 2025 edition of the league.
