Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central has been arraigned by the Federal Government before the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges relating to alleged cybercrime.
The lawmaker, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was brought before Justice Mohammed Umar on Monday to face a six-count charge involving alleged offences against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.
Senator Natasha pleaded not guilty to all charges. Her counsel, Roland Otaru (SAN), applied for bail, urging the court to grant it on self-recognition given her status as a serving senator and senior legal practitioner.
Justice Umar granted the bail application, noting the absence of any objection from the prosecution. The senator was released on self-recognition and the case was adjourned to September 22, 2025, for commencement of trial.
The senator was accompanied to the court by her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, activist Aisha Yesufu, and a number of supporters.
