President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio has tasked Presidential Aides on community engagement to ensure adequate feedback to the Presidency on the happenings at the various zones in the country.
Senator Akpabio gave the charge when the Forum of Senior Special Assistants to the President on Community Engagement paid him a Courtesy Visit.
The Senate President commended the President for the Initiative to appoint Senior Special Assistants to oversee community engagement and tasked them to regard themselves as envoys of the Presidency within their respective zones
The Senior Special Assistant to the President for South West Zone and Leader of the Delegation, Ms. Moremi Ojudu, said the visit of the Presidential Assistants was to introduce the Forum to National Assembly Senate Leadership formally and to seek their support.
Ms. Ojudu said their appointments and their mandate showed that President Tinubu-led administration was focused on people at the grassroots which also tallied with a core objective of the tenth senate regarding legislation.
