Saka Strike Seals Arsenal’s 1–0 Win Over AC Milan in Singapore Friendly

Date:

Arsenal opened their pre-season campaign on a winning note with a 1–0 victory over AC Milan in Singapore, thanks to a second-half goal from Bukayo Saka.

Saka found the net in the 53rd minute, latching onto a low cross at the back post and squeezing a slightly mishit shot into the bottom-left corner of the net at the National Stadium.

The Gunners had several opportunities to increase their lead, with Riccardo Calafiori, Ethan Nwaneri, and Mikel Merino all going close. AC Milan’s Rafael Leão posed the biggest threat for the Italian side but was unable to break through Arsenal’s organised defence.

New signings Martin Zubimendi and Christian Nørgaard made their debuts for Arsenal, both putting in composed performances in midfield.

Manager Mikel Arteta and his squad now shift focus to their next pre-season fixture against Newcastle United, scheduled for Sunday at 12:30pm.
