Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has issued a stern warning, indicating his readiness to surprise those who perceive his commitment to implementing the presidential peace pact as a display of weakness.
Governor Fubara said he had been inundated with several comments in the media about the implementation of the peace initiative and had chosen to be silent out of maturity and wisdom.
Clarifying the context, he highlighted that the resolution accepted during President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in the state’s political crisis on October 30, 2023, was primarily a political solution.
Governor Fubara reiterated his adherence to the agreement out of respect for President Tinubu, cautioning against misconstruing his compliance as a sign of weakness by other political figures.
He urged citizens to continue supporting his administration, exhibit understanding towards decisions made, and abide by regulations peacefully.
