President Tinubu Urges Support for NDLEA’s War Against Drug Abuse

President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to support the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA), an initiative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The President gave the charge on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking, otherwise known as World Drug Day, at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

President Tinubu represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, emphasized the importance of supporting efforts to combat substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking in the country.

President Tinubu assured the anti-narcotics Agency of his administration’s support and called on everyone to intensify their efforts in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in the country.

He assured that his administration would back the NDLEA in furthering the achievements of recent years and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the upcoming national drug use survey yields positive statistics for the country.
