President Bola Tinubu departed Nigeria on Wednesday for a working visit to Paris, France, where he will conduct a comprehensive review of his administration’s first two years in office.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga stated the visit will focus on evaluating key reforms and setting strategic priorities for the government’s next phase. The retreat comes as Nigeria records significant economic improvements, including foreign reserves rising to 23.11 billion from 3.99 billion in 2023.
Despite being abroad, the President will continue overseeing government operations. He is scheduled to return within two weeks, just before his administration’s second anniversary on May 29.
The Paris meetings are expected to produce refined policy directions for Nigeria’s continued economic recovery and development agenda. Key cabinet members and advisors are accompanying the President for the strategic sessions.
