President Tinubu Appoints Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu as NYSC Director-General

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu as the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The appointment is effective immediately, with Brigadier General Nafiu succeeding Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed.

Until his appointment, Brigadier General Nafiu served as the Chief of Staff to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, and previously held the same position under the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Raised Abiodun Lagbaja.

A member of the 47 Regular Course, Nafiu is an Artillery Officer with a distinguished military career. He graduated from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the US Army War College. Before his role as Chief of Staff to the COAS, he served as a Directing Staff at the Army War College, Nigeria.

Brigadier General Nafiu hails from Ileogbo, Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State. His extensive experience and leadership skills are expected to bring fresh perspectives to the NYSC, enhancing its operations and impact on national development.
