President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the Iko-Atabrikang-Akata-Opolom-Okoroutip-Iwuochang Road at Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The President who was represented by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio described the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC as a Commission that is committed to touching the lives of the Niger Delta people through their numerous intervention projects.
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno represented by the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi while appreciating the management of the NDDC for the intervention, charged Akwa Ibomites to support the government under the leadership of Pastor Umo Eno who is committed to the development of rural areas across the state.
Meanwhile, the Minister of, the Ministry of Niger Delta Development, Dr. Abubakar Momoh expressed excitement that oil-producing communities in the region are receiving their much-deserved intervention assuring that other abandoned projects will be completed under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr. Samuel Ogboku who highlighted the numerous projects completed by the Commission in other States pledged to do more for the Niger Delta people, tasking them to protect government infrastructure as that act can further encourage the government to embark on more projects in the region.
