Police Inspector Arrested for Killing Civilian in Yobe State

A Police Inspector, Mohammed Bulama, attached to the Police Mobile Force (PMF) 41 in Yobe State, has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of 39-year-old civilian, Abdulmalik Dauda, in Damaturu, the state capital.

The incident, which occurred on September 29, 2024, followed a heated argument between Bulama and Dauda over unresolved transactions in the Zango area of Damaturu.

According to the police spokesperson, Dungus Abdulkarim, Bulama stabbed Dauda in the chest during the altercation.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Ahmed, has ordered an immediate investigation into the homicide. Bulama is currently in police custody and awaiting internal disciplinary action and prosecution.

Condemning the act, CP Ahmed extended his condolences to the victim’s family, assuring the public that justice would be served.
