Tinubu establishes the Tax Reforms Committee and names Taiwo Oyedele as its chairman.

A Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms has been established with the approval of President Bola Tinubu.
According to the presidency, this most recent action is in line with Tinubu’s pledge to remove all obstacles to Nigerian economic growth.
Dele Alake, the president’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, said in a statement on Friday that Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, a Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), will serve as the committee’s chair.
It will be made up of specialists from the public and commercial sectors and be in charge of the administration of revenue as well as the numerous facets of tax law reform, fiscal policy planning, and coordination.
President Tinubu understands the significance of taxation, according to Special Adviser to the President on Revenue Mr. Adelabu Zacch Adedeji.
