According to Nasir Isa Kwarra, Chairman of the National Population Census (NPC), President Bola Tinubu would announce new dates for Nigeria’s national population and housing census.
Following his discussion with the President on Thursday, the head of the NPC informed State House reporters that any more delays in the census’s conduct will result in increased costs.
The census, which ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had originally planned to conduct from May 3 to 7, 2023, has been delayed until a time to be set by the Tinubu administration.
Kwarra claimed to have updated the President on the census preparations during their meeting on Thursday.
