The prosecution of suspended Adamawa REC Yunusa-Ari must stop, per a court order to AGF and INEC.

The order was issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) in response to Yunusa-Ari’s early announcement of Senator Aishatu “Binani” Dahiru as the victor of the April 15 Adamawa governorship election.
After receiving an ex-parte motion from Mike Aondoaka, Dahiru’s attorney, Justice Okorowo issued the ruling.
The court ruled that the parties should retain the status quo regarding the problem, pending the outcome of the lawsuit, because the matter is before a tribunal and the parties have submitted to the law.
