NPFL UPDATE: KATSINA UNITED SNATCHES LATE WIN, WHILE FOUR MATCHES END IN STALEMATE

The 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League entered Matchday Two on Sunday, featuring one victory and four draws.

Midfielder Azeez Falolu scored a stoppage-time winner for Katsina United, securing a two-one victory over Bendel Insurance at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

In other Matchday Two fixtures, Eddidiong Ezekiel’s last-minute penalty earned Akwa United a one-one draw against Abia Warriors in Uyo.

Rabiu Abdullahi scored a late equalizer for Bayelsa United, resulting in a one-one draw with Kano Pillars at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

In Minna, Niger Tornadoes, back at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, failed to build on their previous away victory against Kwara United, settling for a goalless draw with Nasarawa United.
