MANCHESTER CITY’S FINANCIAL BREACH HEARING BEGINS TODAY AMIDST 115 CHARGES

Date:

The hearing into Manchester City’s 115 charges for alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules will commence later today.

Following a four-year investigation, the club was charged and referred to an independent commission in February 2023. It is alleged that City violated financial regulations between 2009 and 2018.

Manchester City strongly denies all charges, asserting that a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence supports their case.

The Premier League claims that City breached rules requiring the club to provide accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position.

If found guilty, the club could face automatic relegation to the second division or suffer a points deduction.
