NIGERIA’S U-18 HANDBALL TEAM TRIUMPHS OVER ZAMBIA IN IHF TROPHY OPENER

Nigeria’s under-18 men’s handball team commenced the IHF Trophy Africa Men Continental Phase on a high note, defeating Zambia 36-21 on Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Under the guidance of Coach Emeka Nnamani, the team was quick to capitalize on scoring opportunities from the wings, leading to a commanding first-half performance that ended 17-9.

They maintained their momentum in the second half, securing a comfortable victory.

Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Samuel Obabori, was named the Most Valuable Player of the match for his outstanding performance.

The team is set to face host nation Ethiopia in their next match today at 1 PM Nigerian time.
