Nigerian Track Star Tobi Amusan Advances to Semi-Finals of Women’s 100-Meter Hurdles at Paris Olympics

Nigerian track star Tobi Amusan has advanced to the semi-finals of the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the Paris Olympics.

Amusan clocked a time of 12.49 seconds to win Heat 1 and secure her spot in the semi-finals.

American Alaysha Johnson finished second in the heat with a time of 12.61 seconds, while Jamaica’s Janeek Brown took third with a time of 12.84 seconds.

As the world record holder, Amusan is a key medal prospect for Nigeria and aims to enhance her country’s chances at the games.

The 27-year-old has been in exceptional form leading up to the event, including a season-best and world-leading time of 12.40 seconds at the Jamaican Athletics Invitational in Kingston this past May.

Amusan’s performance has generated high hopes for Nigeria, and all eyes will be on her as she competes in the semi-finals.
