Nigerian Governors’ Forum to collaborate Labour Unions to address issues in Petroleum Subsidy Removal.

The Nigerian Governors’ Forum says it will work with the Nigerian Labour Congress N-L-C and the Trade Union Congress T-U-C to proffer ways of addressing the issue of petroleum subsidy removal.

The forum at the news conference addressed by the chairman Kayode Fayemi said that it has taken this step to help reduce friction which may rise as a result of the removal of the petroleum subsidy.

The Nigerian Governors’ Forum also spoke on health issues such as the Covid -19 latest Omicron variant and reminding the state of the need to wrap up the Covid-19 vaccination exercise believing that the effect of Omicron is declining.

The forum noted the issue of nutrition saying that government places priority as it resolved to increase their support in terms of budgetary provision.

The Governors also reviewed the recently launched National Development Plan 2021-2025 to ensure that it aligns with individual State development plans.
