Henceforth, Female officers of the Nigeria Police Force will be deployed to perform all roles in the force rather than restrict them to specific area.
This is because the Nigeria Police has evolved in a manner to allow police female officers to also perform the traditional role of policing.
The Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman made this known during his visit to Calabar, Cross River State.
He said that the force shall commence the posting of female police officers to head critical crime areas as well as head divisions.
He disclosed that 10,000 new recruits were being trained currently and would be deployed to sensitive areas of need when they graduate; asking the different Police Commands in the country to devise ways to combat what he described as new crimes.
