The Nigerian Army has reiterated its dedication to strengthening operational effectiveness through continuous investments in training for commanders and security personnel.
Major General Ibikunle Ajose, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division, emphasized this during his welcome address at the opening of the 8 Division Operations Planning Cadre, held at the division’s auditorium in Sokoto.
According to Major General Ajose, equipping commanders with the right knowledge will enable them to make informed decisions, lead with confidence, and effectively adapt to evolving security challenges.
He further highlighted the importance of intelligence-sharing, synchronized efforts, and real-time decision-making among security agencies. The training, he noted, is a crucial step toward enhancing inter-agency collaboration and fostering a unified approach to national security.
Ajose also stressed the need for strong, authentic leadership at all levels to ensure effective military operations and national defense.
