Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has called on newly appointed branch chiefs and air officers commanding to uphold professionalism and lead their commands to greater heights. Speaking at the second biannual Chief of the Air Staff’s meeting with branch chiefs and air officers, Air Marshal Abubakar emphasized the importance of unity and strategic planning to meet the Nigerian Air Force’s evolving objectives.
Highlighting the ongoing transition within the force, he noted the induction of 12 new aircraft in the past year, with 50 more expected by 2026, boosting the Air Force’s operational capabilities. The Chief urged officers to adopt innovative leadership approaches to address the demands of national security.
Acknowledging recent operational successes in the North-West and South-South regions, including counterinsurgency and anti-oil theft operations, Air Marshal Abubakar stressed the need for continuous improvement in the use of airpower to safeguard the nation.
The two-day meeting aimed to facilitate in-depth discussions that would lead to actionable resolutions for advancing the Nigerian Air Force.
