NIGERIA NATIONAL LEAGUE TO INTRODUCE MONTHLY AWARDS FOR PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS

The Nigeria National League has announced plans to introduce a series of awards for players, coaches, and match officials ahead of the upcoming season, starting on 30th November.

The NNL disclosed that beginning with the 2024/2025 league season, a monthly award will be given for the best goalkeeper, best coach, most valuable player, top goal scorer, and the best-behaved team.

Additionally, to promote quality officiating, the NNL will introduce a monthly award for the best-performing referee.

The League body added that to further enhance the standard of play and ensure player safety, only stadiums meeting the NNL’s facility criteria will be approved for the upcoming season.
