In an effort to build on the progress made last season, which saw a significant improvement in the Nigerian National League (NNL), plans have been finalized for a pre-season seminar tailored for coaches and media officers. The seminar will take place immediately after the league’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bauchi.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman of the Nigerian National League Board, George Aluo, expressed optimism about the seminar’s potential to prepare participants for the upcoming season. “We are excited to organize this pre-season seminar for our coaches and club media officers. It will immediately follow the AGM in Bauchi. The NNL remains fully committed to sustaining last season’s gains, which included improved coaching conduct, fair officiating, and a higher standard of play. We cannot afford to settle for anything less going forward.”
Aluo also expressed his appreciation for Valuejet Airlines’ support in enhancing the quality of the league. “We have set a standard that we will keep improving. The praise we received last season was made possible by the cooperation of all stakeholders. While we’re not where we want to be yet, we’ve brought a sense of trust, sanity, and integrity to our league. This is just the beginning of better days ahead, and we are grateful to Valuejet Airlines for their belief and support.”
The pre-season seminar is scheduled to take place in mid-October at the Remo Stars Stadium. Renowned coaches, internationally recognized journalists, and other experts are expected to lead sessions aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of both coaches and media officers for the new season.
