Nigeria Names Final Squad For FIBA Afrobasket Qualifiers In Tripoli

Nigeria Basketball Federation has unveiled the final 12-man squad for the third window of the FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers, which will be held in Tripoli, Libya, from February 21 to 23, 2025.

The selected squad features a blend of experienced players and emerging talents, all prepared to represent Nigeria on the international stage. Notable names on the list include team captain Ike Nwamu, Caleb Agada, Ugochukwu Simon, and Ibe Agu, among others.

The team is set to hold its first practice session this evening in Tripoli as they fine-tune their preparations for the crucial matches ahead.

Nigeria faces a tough challenge in securing one of the top three spots in Group B, with the team needing to overcome the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde, the Silverbacks of Uganda, and the Mediterranean Knights of Libya to qualify.
