Minister of State for Defence Condemns Killing of Gatawa District Head, Vows Justice

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Alhaji Isa Bawa, the Head of Gatawa District in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Describing the act as heinous and unacceptable, Dr. Matawalle vowed that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.

“The killing of Alhaji Isa Bawa of Gatawa District is a senseless and brutal act that will not be tolerated,” Dr. Matawalle stated.

“We will do everything in our power to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.”

In response to the incident, the Minister has directed the Chief of Defence Staff to immediately launch a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the crime.

He emphasized that security is a top priority for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been providing full support to the military.

Dr. Matawalle assured the public that the Armed Forces of Nigeria would leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice for the late District Head.

“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians,” he added.

The Minister also expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the late Alhaji Isa Bawa, the people of Gatawa, and the entire Sokoto State Government.
