MCLAREN CROWNED CONSTRUCTORS’ CHAMPIONS AFTER NORRIS CLINCHES ABU DHABI WIN

Date:

McLaren are Formula 1 Constructors’ Champions for the first time in 26 years after Lando Norris triumphed over Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz to win the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

With both McLaren drivers starting on the front row, they were in full control of the prestigious teams’ title race.

However, the race became more tense than expected when Oscar Piastri was spun out by Max Verstappen into the first corner.

Despite the early chaos, Norris remained flawless from pole position, holding off Sainz for all 58 laps to secure his fourth victory of the season. This win earned McLaren their ninth Constructors’ Championship, and their first since 1998.
