A three-storey building collapsed early Thursday morning on Asesi Lane near Adeniji Adele Road in Lagos Island, leaving several occupants injured.
According to Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, four persons have so far been rescued from the debris and taken to a hospital for treatment.
“Four persons have been rescued from the rubble. They have been taken to hospital,” Omotoso said in a Facebook post.
Emergency responders, including officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), swiftly arrived at the scene and have commenced rescue operations.
Details surrounding the cause of the collapse remain unclear, and further updates are expected as search and emergency efforts continue.
