Gunmen Attack Church in Delta State, Abduct Six Worshippers and Shoot Pastor

Gunmen invaded Elyon Paradise Ministry Church in Asagba Ogwashi, Delta State, during a night vigil, shooting the pastor and abducting six worshippers. The attack, which occurred in Aniocha South Local Government Area over the weekend, has left the community in shock.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, stating that a rescue team is actively pursuing the perpetrators. The assailants reportedly shot the pastor, Apostle Divine Omodia, and severed two of his fingers before taking the hostages to an unknown location.

As of now, no ransom demands have been made by the kidnappers. The injured pastor was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where medical personnel are battling to save his life.

Security forces have intensified their search in the surrounding forests to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims. The attack highlights the growing insecurity in the region and the need for enhanced security measures to protect citizens.
