GOVERNOR ENO COMMISSIONS SOLAR-POWERED WATER SCHEME IN INI

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Dr. Umo Eno, has inaugurated a solar-powered water scheme equipped with a treatment plant and reticulation system in Ogu, Itumbonuso, Ini Local Government Area. During the commissioning, Governor Eno emphasized his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for rural residents through access to essential amenities.

Residents shared their experiences of enduring long journeys to access clean water during dry seasons. Governor Eno reassured the community of his administration’s dedication to providing necessities, urging residents to safeguard the facility from vandalism.

Hon. Inibehe Umah, Chairman of Ini Local Government, and Dr. Enobong Mbobo, Commissioner for Water Resources and Sanitation, expressed gratitude for the project, highlighting the 170,000-liter water tank and chemical-free treatment plant that will support the area’s health and public hygiene.
