FIGHT AGAINST INSURGENCY: CAS URGES AIR COMPONENT COMMANDERS TO INTENSIFY OPERATIONS

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has directed Air Component Commanders to ramp up their efforts in ongoing military operations, aiming to build on the successes achieved across various theatres of operation nationwide.



 

The directive was issued by Air Marshal Abubakar during a virtual meeting with all Air Component Commanders, as confirmed by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet.

Commending the commanders for their exemplary performance, Air Marshal Abubakar highlighted the crucial roles they have played in ensuring national security. He noted that their dedication and strategic efforts have resulted in significant achievements, including the elimination of key terrorist leaders, disruption of oil theft operations, and protection of vital national assets.

Despite these successes, the Chief of Air Staff stressed that the challenges are far from over. He urged the commanders to maintain their momentum, remain vigilant, and continue leveraging intelligence for precision strikes. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration with sister services to neutralize any remaining threats to the nation’s security.
