FIFA President Gianni Infantino has expressed interest in the idea of Canadian rapper Drake performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
During a recent television interview, it was suggested to Infantino that Drake could headline the World Cup halftime show, reigniting his ongoing rivalry with Kendrick Lamar, who performed at Super Bowl 59 last month.
Intrigued by the suggestion, Infantino responded positively, noting that the idea rekindles the rivalry between the two musical stars. He also mentioned that Drake was present when FIFA announced the host cities for the 2026 World Cup.
Fans can also look forward to the first-ever halftime show in World Cup history. On July 19, 2026, at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Phil Harvey will help create the event, adding to the excitement of the tournament.
